● Young age onset (<65)
● Rapidly progressing symptoms over weeks to months
● Atypical clinical features or complex medical history
● Concerning neurological symptoms present (gait, language, rigidity)
● When a clarification of a diagnosis is requested by family
● Try to get a brain MRI prior to the referral.
